Our Activities in the Project
Training of Trainers Program
To learn new practices in art education and to increase the capacity of trained art instructors, a “Training of Trainers” event has been organized for three subjects. And a total of 80 people have been trained by our valuable trainers who are experts in their fields for 3 days.
Art Talks in Public Spaces
5 interviews have been conducted in which experts, such as artists, art historians, curators, sociologists and architects from abroad and within the country, explained art to the audience in a public space and discussed the subject together.
Art Books
Our Art Books series, which will be published and widely distributed very soon, have been designed individually for 3-6, 7-12 aged children, teenagers, adults and meticulously created to bring art-lovers of all walks of life and all ages closer. In the books, interdisciplinary issues have been examined to answer basic questions such as “what is art” and “how do we encounter it in daily life” through local and international examples.
"Art in Public Space" Workshop
The “Art in Public Space” Workshop, which we announced in March 2020 but had to cancel due to COVID-19, will be re-announced very soon. It will be held with the online participation of experts with international experience in art in the public sphere, local artists and art enthusiasts. In these trainings, studies will be carried out on Art Projects in public spaces and how to implement art in public spaces.
"Art in Public Space" Festival
Following the workshop, the participants will work with a curator at the “Art in Public Space” Festival, where different disciplines will be included; and various performances, installations etc. will be created. “Art in Public Space” Festival will consist of various artistic performances and installations that will be held twice in total in two different regions. And these will be shows that will encourage the participation of local people and improve their access to art.
Residence Program
Within the scope of the Residence Program, the first step of which has been recently taken by signing a cooperation protocol with Nicosia Turkish Municipality, a call to cover the entire Cyprus island will be made for a total of 6 sculptors living in Cyprus. Then, a sculpture will be created after 1 month of work in the park called “Dr. Fazıl Küçük” which is located in Nicosia, and thus the first public art park in Nicosia will be established. You can get information about this program under the announcements section on our website.
